ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia Bulldogs dropped a three-set match to the 15^th-ranked Florida Gators Sunday afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum (13-25, 14-25, 13-25).

The Bulldogs recognized senior Meghan Donovan prior to the match including senior team manager Bella Budwig. The final match of the season at Stegeman Coliseum featured 2,586 in attendance.

Freshman Kacie Evans tallied seven kills in the match followed by six from junior Kianna Young.

Defensively, junior libero Kendall Glover registered 10 digs to lead the team.

Donovan handed out 21 assists with five digs and a pair of kills.

The Gators went ahead early in the first set, 13-5, prompting the Bulldogs to exhaust both of their timeouts in the opening frame. The Gators continued the early success in the set, leading as much as 13, 23-10. Georgia fired the offense late to keep the frame alive, but the deficit was too much, falling in the first, 25-13.

An early 7-1 lead put the Gators ahead 8-3 in set two. Down 15-9, Georgia won three of four rallies to pull within four, 16-12, but Florida concluded the set on a 9-2 run to lengthen the lead in the match, 25-14.

The Bulldogs pulled within two, 9-7 in the third set, but Florida went on a 5-0 run to go ahead by seven and used the mid-set run to conclude the set 25-13 and complete the sweep.

Up next, the regular season comes to a close at Alabama on Wednesday. First serve against the Crimson Tide is slated for 6 p.m., ET, and will stream live on SEC Network+.

"She's been everything for sure. She has helped the program build tremendously. We still have a long way to go, but she's been such huge part of that with her performance, leadership, and who she is as a person. We're going to miss her a ton because she's had such a huge impact. I'll remember her constant improvement and all the things it takes to improve like that. From where she started to becoming one of the top setters in the country, she's just led this program in so many ways."

"The crowd was great. I feel terrible for the performance we gave them today, but we really appreciate the support. We want to keep building it, and we appreciate them building it with us."
